Test Shoot Images

Alright, so I don’t know if you know, but I kind of….sort of….model. 🙂 I don’t go around saying it all day and everyday, so that’s why many may not know. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE MODELING, but when people find out, they get the impression that I must be some girl with a huge ego who thinks she’s better than everyone. The people who really know me know thats a complete lie haha, but it comes with the territory.

I just wanted to share a couple images from a test shoot I did on MLK day to keep you guys updated with something! I have the “modeling” tab, but I never post in it. So here you go!

VonRouge Magazine Editorial BTS

Hello fashionistas! I know I have been MIA, but school is taking a toll on me. It has been so stressful and crazy, but hopefully I can get more consistent posts very soon.

But, this past weekend I went to Chicago with 3 other models from my agency (LModelz) for a 2 day magazine photoshoot. We shot a total of 5 looks in those 2 days. It was very intense, but it was an amazing experience. I personally like being pushed to the next level, and in these two days I was pushed and learned a lot as well.

I have actually worked with the photographer Vanessa VonRouge before, and it’s amazing that she has her own magazine as well. I was SO HAPPY I got to work with her, she is such a great photographer! By the way if you have Facebook, go like the magazines page right here!

America’s Next Top Model Victoria Henley Cycle 19 was also there coaching us and modeling for the magazine as well. I felt extremely honored to listen to the tips she had for all of us and one-on-one coaching.

I will definitely post the final images once they come in!

Elegant Magazine Editorial

I haven’t posted anything about modeling in a while! I promise I will do more of these. I love sharing what I do with you guys through a blog post. I mean, I do it all in the time through social media, but I can write extensively about it on this platform.

So, about two weeks ago I got the news that a photo shoot I did during spring break was accepted into a magazine called Elegant Magazine. The photo shoot was a submission, so nobody knew if it was going to get published or not. So when my agent sent the other model and I the pictures and the great news, I started jumping for joy! This is my first time being published and in a magazine based in California for that matter!

The theme of the editorial spread was old school style at a skate rink. Trying to model in skates is not easy at all! I almost fell so many times, but it turned out great and I am thankful I got booked for this amazing project. The photographer, makeup artist, hair stylist and stylist did a phenomenal job!

I am signed with LModelz Model Management, here is my online portfolio as well www.lmodelz.com.

Until next time my fashionistas!

Life as a Coke Zero Commercial Extra

Hey loves! I am coming to you today with a different type of post. This past Saturday I was a commercial extra for Coke Zero because the Final Four was held in Indianapolis. The whole event was pretty much a Coke Zero wonderland, free cokes and even a billboard full of coke to drink! It was a very crazy weekend, but I had fun every second of it.

Being a Coke Zero extra was such a new experience and I am so thankful they booked me for the job! I love how modeling has made me do so many cool jobs and meet new people from all over the States. The film producers and the film agency actually came from New York to film the commercial, it was neat conversing with them and we talked about how Indy is obviously way different than the Big Apple.

So basically, four of us were the last group to film, my model sister and I (#LModelz) , and then two other guys from different agencies. All of the shots were outdoors and we filmed for about 7-8 hours. Since all of the shots were outside and the estimated amount of people in downtown Indy was about 80,000, every time we were recording, everybody would just look at us like “Who are they?!” We felt pretty cool, reality TV star status!

Speaking of stars, Rihanna was one of the headlining performers for the March Madness Music Festival  and we were so nervous trying to figure out how we could get closer to the front after filming. She was scheduled to perform after the final game on Saturday, which was around 8:30pm. It was around 7:30pm and the four of us were just waiting to be directed for the next scene and some Coke Zero workers came to us and asked if we liked Rihanna, we said “YES YES!” They asked us to sing a song of hers and BOOM, they gave us VIP passes to see her up and close. I honestly started tearing up and yelling so hard, Rihanna is one of my favorite artists and to be able to see her for free and super close was seriously a blessing.

Pictures of us taking selfies 🙂

The camera crew behind me, they were taking a break there, but they were filming us just having fun sipping on a Coke Zero. Did I forget to tell you we drank Coke Zero for 7-8 hours straight….yes very crazy ! 😀

The Saturday Coke Zero extras! 🙂

The selfies that came out of the crew filming us taking selfies, I love my job !!

Our VIP wrist bands to see Rihanna!! We were literally freaking out while taking this picture.

All of the people behind me, so many people showed up it was AMAZING.

This was such a great experience, I hope to do something like this again in the future!

Project Runway Season 5 Runner up, Korto Momolu

Hey loves! I’m super excited about this blog post because the designer I walked for is FABULOUS! Her name is Korto Momolu (cut-toe mo-mo-lu). She was Project Runway’s runner-up during season 5. She actually earned a “fan favorite” prize because the audience loved her personality!

I just feel so honored to have modeled her clothing! All of her pieces were a work of art! I love how she makes the simpler pieces really stand out with different fabrics and textures. What I also love about her line is that the everyday woman can wear it! It’s not like some crazy Chanel styles (which I love) that are too exotic for the everyday woman.

Now the fashion show that her clothing was show cased in was the Indiana Black Expo Fashion Here&Now Fashion show. The whole show was centered around African or African inspired clothing. So all very colorful and bright!

All of Korto Momolu’s models (I am in the lime green dress and Korto is in the middle with the maxi dress)

The makeup artist and hair stylist totally (as I say) SLAYED ME! Which means they made me look flawless or they did a really amazing job. That’s what it generally means. All the makeup they used was provided by Mary Kay.

Check out my online portfolio LModelz.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day! God’s blessings to all!
