IT HAS BEEN A WHILE! I am sorry for abandoning you guys but you will see why I have been so busy and no time to blog lately.

I am finally done with my senior collection named “Feminine&Careless”. It consists of 6 looks and I designed these from scratch. What started off as a sketch is now real life! The process was very strenuous but I am happy it is finally complete. The Purdue Fashion Show was last week and it was such a stressful and anxious time to be alive. I thank God that I pushed through and conquered!

Style Resolutions for 2017

This might be a little late to post, but we are still in the beginning of the new year, so I am going to share with you guys my style resolutions for this year. If you haven’t made any or just looking for a spark in your thoughts for your daily wardrobe, I hope to inspire you with mine.

  1. Stand Out!

My first goal is to stand out with my style. I live in Indiana, so the style here isn’t so great, is very behind with the times and everyone’s style is a clone for the most part. So when one stands out with a particular item of clothing, you get stares and comments which makes you question what you have on, but I am over it!

Here’s an item I just received in the mail that is really a show stopper in my opinion. It’s the dupes for the Gucci Princetons, can’t wait to wear them and feel invincible !

They aren’t the exact ones I got since they are sold out, but these ones are basically the same thing. (Link when you click the picture)

2. Don’t settle

So, you went a little crazy with the online shopping and now you just have a pile of nice clothes you want to wear, but no where to wear them? Forget all of that. WEAR THEM! So what if you are the only person wearing a fluffy fur coat and killing the game. Don’t settle for less if you hold a high standard to your aesthetics (like me).

Stuck on the same fashion routine? Black jeans, over-the-knee boots and a band tee? Get some inspiration from fashion blogs, Instagram or Tumblr! Let loose and play dress up. Go to thrifts stores and DIY what you can! Its the best way to have fun and create unique pieces.

With inspiration from Bonobos I wanted to share something a little different.

I am going to start making posts like this more. I would love to be a contributor to an online publication, so I am trying to challenge myself more with topics and of course relate them to fashion.

Thanks for reading!

Beachy Winter Aesthetic

Alas, school has commenced again and which means I need to snap back into grind mode. This break was well needed for my brain and I, in sooooo many ways.

While I’m taking a chill pill in the library, I am going to share with you my beach OOTD. It was a bit chilly this day, but nothing compared to Indiana weather. It was way too cold to even put your feet in this water, but I get cold really easily so it could’ve been just me haha!

The off-the-shoulder top was sent to me by Shein.com, the suede shorts are from H&M and then I paired it with my white Sk8 hi vans.

Thrift Haul

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVEEE thrifting. The main thing I always go for are jackets (since I’m obsessed) and the rest follows. I never go in with a specific thing in mind because you never know what you are going to find.

So last Thursday, I got invited to a Mission 27 resale event, which I am so appreciative of, we took a tour of the store, learned about how they give back and help the community and at the end they gave us (the bloggers) a 50 dollar in store credit!

Below are pictures of Mission 27 resale and then the outfit I wore!

And a preview of what I got.

So I Bleached You, Ralph Lauren

One of my favorite parts of being in the city is going to the thrift stores. I appreciate the people that wear expensive clothing twice and then donate it. It benefits me on so many levels ! 😀

I say that because I bought this Ralph Lauren shirt for about 2 dollars at the Goodwill and then did some bleaching magic on it. I could easily sell this shirt for so much money, since bleached graphic tees prices are ridiculous. You never know, I could start an Etsy shop :p !

So on this day, I went to Pace Art Gallery located in Chelsea and it was really intriguing ! I have never been to art gallery here in the city, so my first time was so fun. There were projection light exhibits and I got some pictures in there with the different colored lighting.

After that, I went to the Welling Court Mural Project in Queens and it was such an amazing community to be in. All of these street artists painting murals on brick walls or garage doors for an entire day. This continued on for blocks! I’m so glad I was able to make it and of course I got great pictures!

DIY Wrap Choker

Hey loves! Today I’m coming at you with a DIY that I thought was fairly simple to blog about. I was googling wrap chokers to buy one day and they were pretty pricey. I don’t know about you, but I am a person who loves saving money. So where do I go to look for supplies? Joann’s of course!

There are many ways to decorate these chokers, I am just showing you the way I did it with the beading of my choice. The choices are literally limitless.

I’ll tell you the steps I used to make these new and trending chokers.

  1. DSC_0128First you are going to need scissors, beading of your choice, a suede string and a lighter or matches. I bought the 3 pack, since I wanted multiple colors. 2 yards is the perfect amount for one choker. (click picture for link)

Screen Shot 2016-04-11 at 2.52.11 PM

2. DSC_0130

Next, you are going to want to cut the end at an angle so it’s easier to slide the string through the bead.

Then, what I did is twisted the string into the bead while pushing it through. The first time it wasn’t working out for me, but the 2nd time worked out just fine and it took no time at all.

4. DSC_0133

After you twist it through, you will need to tie it at the end.

5. DSC_0134

And of course cut off the excess string. I didn’t show this step, but I burned the knot a bit with a match to make sure it will never come undone.

This is the final look! I really love this choker trend. I have been wearing the life out of it lately! You can tie it in a bow, or like the one below, just a simple knot.

Hope you guys enjoyed this little DIY and get your festival looks together for the summer!

NYFW’15 Day 2

Hey loves! So this is a continuation of my previous blog post about my trip. So, in the early early morning I took a cab to the venue for Small Boutique Fashion Week (SBFW), it was a really nice! It was an all-white venue and I personally am in-love with all-white decor.

I assisted the designer Jasmine Williams and her clothing line’s name is Indtrendzick Couture. Her Instagram is @intrendzick_couture, go check her out!

Culottes: MARSHALL’S

Her designs were so gorgeous!! I’m so grateful for this opportunity during NYFW.

Models getting their hair in place.

Overall, this was a great thing to be apart of and hopefully I can go back next year.

Afterwards, I walked back to where we were staying at and changed into this outfit you see right there. I was ready for the rest of the day.

We had to go to Harlem for my friends photoshoot and then went over to where the NYFW shows are held at in the city. So much fashion inspiration, it was incredible! I think my life has changed right after that ! 🙂

Here are some street styles I saw coming out of the building.

As soon as I asked my friend to take a picture of me in front of this sign, a bunch of street photographers started taking my picture as well. I’m not going to lie, I felt like a star for about 10 seconds.

I also got posted in a blog about Street Style and Nail fashion during NYFW. I know it’s not much compared to other bloggers, but being a girl from Indiana and being my first NYFW, I feel like it’s a great accomplishment.

By the way, when I went to get my nails done I was inspired by Kylie Jenner’s nails. I literally showed the nail technician one of her nail pictures and he did a really GREAT job on them. The color I’m wearing is by Sally Hansen.

Ring: KAY JEWELERS (White Sapphire x Sterling Silver)

After leaving the street style photographers scene, we went SHOPPING IN TIMES SQUARE! We went to Forever 21 and it was a sin, but totally worth it. I bought a dress to go out in that same night and here is the result.

IMG_2836 2

It laces in the front, you can’t really tell in this picture though. I will be wearing it again and share a better picture with you guys.

I didn’t get many pictures afterwards because we were walking all over the city with specific destinations.

The next day we had to leave and did a lot more shopping. I will share with you guys what I got later on in blog posts and beauty posts as well.

I hope you enjoyed my New York posts! Until next time….

NYFW ’15 DAY 1

I am so excited to finally share with you all my TRIP TO NYC! It was seriously one of the best trips I have had in my life, not only because NYC is the goal to live at, but because I was there during New York Fashion Week. Although there were many hiccups on the way getting there, I made it and I feel so accomplished now! I have already set my next goal for the next time that I go, you know it never stops!

One of the reasons why I went is because I assisted a designer with her collection debut for Small Boutique Fashion Week (SBFW) during NYFW. I learned a lot from helping and I was definitely outside of my comfort zone. But because of that, amazing things happened. Her designs and models looked great on the runway. Backstage is complete chaos, pulling models and getting them dressed in a couple of minutes. I have experience backstage in fashion shows because I am usually the model, but it was a learning experience being the assistant and getting models dressed instead. I will definitely do it again! MORE information and pictures will be in my next post NYFW DAY 2.

These pictures are from my first day in New York, I have so many it would be too much for just one post.

Eating at Le Pain Quotidien, I had a yummy tartine!

We just hit the city as soon as we landed and this is what I changed into.

This is at Union Square (I think).

The apartment we stayed at has this beautiful scenery from the balcony.

Then at night, the lady in the middle took us to the Empire State Building. I’m so grateful she took us and especially on 9/11.

This is my friend I traveled to New York with. You should check out her Instagram @ariindianapolis and her website is www.ariindianapolis.com. She is a really dope chick and her style IS TO DIE FOR!

“New York, Concrete jungle where dreams are made of.”

September 11th Memorial. It was such a humbling experience looking at the lights from “Tribute in Light” ,coming from a vacant lot right across from Ground Zero. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families.

After visiting the Empire State, my two other friends and I hit the city to explore and meet up with some other people that came from Indy as well!

By the way, it is literally a sauna in these subway stations, if you didn’t know. :-D.

Well that’s it for day one. I hope you enjoyed reading and stay tuned for my next post about NYC.

Miami Beach 2015

Hello to all my readers! It has been longer than usual since I have written a post. I have been working at Gordmans as an assistant e-commerce stylist which requires long hours, so I haven’t had the chance to post about my AMAZING trip to MIAMI!

I went with 5 other people on this trip and it was such a blessing to have been surrounded by each and every one of them. Now, as soon as we got off the plane all I heard was my Cuban people! It is the obvious since it is Miami, but it is such a great feeling to be in a city practically ran by your own people.

The hotel room we stayed at literally looked like an apartment. It had walk-in closets, a full kitchen with pots and silverware, living room and a super cute dining table. I was freaking out of excitement! Little ol’ Indiana girl living it up in South Beach, Miami.

First destination was THE BEACH! Our hotel was next to the ocean which was a plus.

This was the balcony to the suite.

Sheer Cardigan: ALIEXPRESS

Bikini : H&M

Shorts: FOREVER 21

After we got back from the beach, everybody washed up and changed to go find a place to eat at in South Beach. While we were waiting for a bus to come, I decided to have some pictures taken because the scenery was just too beautiful to miss!

This was the Miami Beach Yacht port, it is not in the picture but on the other side of the waters were huge and beautiful mansions! Can I say motivation?!

Alright, so if you haven’t read my bio on here I am a signed model with a mother-agency named LModelz. It is the goal to get signed with a an agency in a big city. So my agent set up appointments for me for go-sees with Next Models and Wilhelmina. A go-see is basically an audition, the agent will take digitals of you, measure your height and get a feel for your personality. It can be very intimidating, but just like anything else, you have to push through! I’m still waiting to hear back, but whatever happens I am thankful I got to experience a go-see with Next and Wilhelmina. It also means to work harder :).

I also had a mini photoshoot after the Wilhelmina go-see at the hotel they are located in. The Willy models that live in those model apartments are really living the life!

My photographer was my boyfriends brothers girlfriend! She is taking photography classes and is learning to use the camera more to shoot models and she did a great job!

The rest of the pictures are just the ones I took/Jackie did through out the trip!

Jacky the photographer took this one! I love it so much, it really shows how happy I was to be there!

Bralette: FOREVER 21

Shorts that are not showing: FOREVER 21

Sandals: KMART (I know right?!)

The three ladies of the trip and Leslie’s (my mother agent) BIRTHDAY!
